The Hippodrome Theatre is run and maintained by a dedicated but small number of volunteers and we are always looking for new member to come along and help out in what ever way they can. Whether you are a budding actor, or you want to try your hand at set building or sewing with the wardrobe department, right down to coming and helping sell raffle tickets or programmes YOUR THEATRE NEEDS YOU!
There are many aspects to the theatre and we really do rely on the kind work of volunteers to help us along. Even if you are not one for the bight lights and the limelight you can still help out.

| We have a very small number of volunteers that costume all our shows and the ladies in the wardrobe department could really do with some extra help if you can give it! Seamstresses or people who can just turn up trousers and

Back Stage Crew |
| At the theatre we build the majority of our own sets, lights and sound. We have in the past even won awards for our creations. However, it is no easy job building and dressing all the sets and we are always on the look out for extra help. You don’t need to be a master carpenter or a qualified sound engineer! Just come along Monday and Wednesday nights and lend a hand. Plus the bar always opens after the grafting has been done for a well deserved pint or two! For the totally committed we also build on Sunday mornings… Ouch!

| If you want to get involved in the public side of the theatre then you can always come down and help front of house. We are always grateful for any help received so if you think that the theatre is for you then please come and help us make tea and coffee, sell sweets and ice creams, raffle tickets and programmes.
