As well as our own productions throughout the year, it is possible to hire the Hippodrome Theatre for outside productions. Also the Foyer is available for hire as a meeting or party venue. At the theatre we also have an extensive collection of backcloths that are available for hire, as well as some properties and our own costume stock. Hire of the Theatre/Foyer
The Hippodrome is available for hire for production purposes or as a party venue. Below you will find the charges for the financial year 2008-2009.

‘BUGSY MALONE’ – SPLURGE GUNS!!!
We have a full set of 13 fully working ‘Splurge Guns’ including the back firing prototype gun. These excellent guns fire real splurge and have been hired by professional theatres. They will certainly give your production of Bugsy that extra pizzazz!

We have a large range of backcloths available for hire. We are in the process of creating a digital catalogue of all our backcloths which will be available of CD at request. All backcloths are folded so they can be easily transported in the boot of a car.

TAODS does have its own costume store. If you are a theatre company or society looking for a number of costumes we may be able to help. Please note that as all our team are volunteers we do not deal with very small or individual requests for costumes.
